GTA 6: Official 34-Track Album Announced Ahead of November Launch
GTA 6 is getting more than a long-awaited video game release. Rockstar Games has announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, an official 34-track soundtrack that will launch alongside the game on November 19, 2026.
The album is being released in partnership with Atlantic Records and will be available digitally across major music streaming platforms, with physical editions on vinyl and CD also available to pre-order.
Six songs have already been released as singles, giving fans an early look at the musical direction Rockstar is taking with its return to Vice City and the wider fictional state of Leonida.
For a franchise known for turning licensed music into a major part of its identity, the album announcement adds another layer to the GTA 6 rollout.
GTA 6: The Album release date

Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album will be released on November 19, 2026, the same day GTA 6 launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Rockstar says the album contains 34 original tracks created for the world of GTA 6. The songs are intended to capture the atmosphere of Vice City and Leonida, with artists spanning multiple genres.
The album is already available for digital pre-save, while physical vinyl and CD versions can be pre-ordered.
This is a notable departure from the way game soundtracks are often handled today. Rather than simply publishing a collection of music associated with the game after launch, Rockstar is positioning GTA 6’s music as a standalone release.
Six GTA 6 songs are already available
Rockstar has released six tracks ahead of the full album.
The current singles are:
- “That’s It” -Yung Lean featuring Future and Metro Boomin’
- “RHYNO” – Travis Scott
- “Sexy Magic” – CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso featuring PinkPantheress, Fred again.. and Etienne de Crécy
- “Last Thing You Need” -Morgan Wallen
- “Macacoa 2000” – Rauw Alejandro
- “Bright Lights, Big City” -Keith Richards
The mix is deliberately broad, covering hip-hop, pop, electronic music, Latin sounds, country and rock.
That variety fits GTA’s long-running approach to music. The series has historically used radio stations and carefully selected tracks to help establish the personality of its fictional cities.
GTA 6 appears to be taking that idea even further by giving its original soundtrack a standalone identity.
Why the GTA 6 soundtrack matters
Music has always been more than background noise in Grand Theft Auto.
In previous games, radio stations helped define the atmosphere of different neighborhoods and situations. Players could switch between genres while driving through the open world, turning the radio into part of the game’s cultural world-building.
GTA 6 returns to Vice City, a setting that already has a strong musical association because of the original 2002 Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
The new game, however, is set in a modern version of the fictional region. That gives Rockstar an opportunity to build a contemporary soundtrack rather than simply recreating the music-driven identity of the earlier game.
The first six tracks suggest that Rockstar is going for a deliberately international and genre-spanning sound.
GTA 6 release date remains November 19
The album announcement arrives with the game itself still scheduled for November 19, 2026.
Rockstar has confirmed that GTA 6 will initially launch on:
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox Series X
- Xbox Series S
There is currently no announced PC release date.
Rockstar’s official support documentation also confirms that the game is being offered in Standard and Ultimate editions.
The Standard Edition costs $79.99, while the Ultimate Edition is priced at $99.99 in the US.
The Ultimate Edition includes additional in-game content tied to protagonists Jason and Lucia, including vehicles, weapons and clothing.
GTA 6 pre-orders are already live
GTA 6 pre-orders opened in June 2026 and are currently available through PlayStation, Xbox, Rockstar and participating retailers.
Players who purchase the game before November 20 will receive the Vintage Vice City Pack, which includes retro-themed in-game items.
Digital pre-orders also include a one-month GTA+ membership.
The game can be pre-loaded starting November 12, giving players a week to download the large game before launch day.
For the physical version, Rockstar has taken a different approach from previous major releases.
GTA 6 physical version won’t include a disc
Despite being sold as a physical product at participating retailers, the physical edition of GTA 6 will not include a game disc.
Instead, the box contains a digital download code.
Rockstar says the physical version will be available from November 12 to support pre-loading.
The move reflects the wider shift toward digital game distribution. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick previously defended the decision, saying the economics and consumer case for discs have changed as digital sales have become dominant.
For collectors, this means the physical GTA 6 package is essentially a boxed product containing a digital license rather than a traditional disc-based copy.
What can we expect from GTA 6’s music?

Rockstar has not yet published the complete 34-track album lineup.
That leaves plenty of room for additional artists and songs to be revealed before November 19.
The six released singles already show that the soundtrack won’t be confined to one genre. Travis Scott, Future, Morgan Wallen, Rauw Alejandro and Keith Richards represent very different musical styles.
That diversity could become particularly useful inside the game.
GTA 6’s open world is expected to include a wide range of environments and characters across Vice City and Leonida. Different radio stations, locations and story moments can use music to establish distinct moods.
The soundtrack therefore has two jobs: work as an album outside the game and contribute to the atmosphere of the game itself.
Vinyl and CD versions are coming
For fans who want a physical copy of the music, Rockstar is offering vinyl and CD editions.
The official GTA 6 music page currently lists both standard vinyl and a limited-edition vinyl release.
The physical music release is particularly interesting in the context of GTA 6’s digital-only game disc strategy.
While the game itself is being distributed physically without a disc, Rockstar is still producing traditional physical music formats.
That gives collectors something tangible from the launch beyond the game box.
GTA 6 and the return of Vice City
The music announcement also reinforces how important Vice City is to GTA 6.
The game isn’t simply revisiting the name of an older location. Rockstar is presenting a much larger world covering Vice City and the surrounding Leonida region.
The combination of contemporary music, fictional radio culture, characters and locations should help establish the game’s modern identity.
For Rockstar, music is one of the easiest ways to communicate that change.
The original Vice City was heavily associated with its 1980s setting and soundtrack. GTA 6 can instead use contemporary artists to establish what a modern Vice City sounds like.
Will GTA 6 Online launch with the game?
Rockstar has confirmed that GTA 6’s initial release is a single-player experience, while GTA Online content will come later.
The company has not announced a specific GTA Online launch date.
That means the November 19 release is primarily about the core GTA 6 experience and its single-player story involving Jason and Lucia.
Rockstar has been relatively selective about revealing details, so more information about the online component is likely to emerge separately.
What happens next for GTA 6?
The next major milestone is the game’s November 19 release.
Before then, Rockstar still has opportunities to reveal more about the soundtrack, gameplay systems, world, characters and GTA Online.
The album gives fans something new to explore immediately, however. Six songs are already available, while the complete 34-track collection will arrive with the game.
For a franchise where music has played such a major role in shaping the experience, that’s more than a promotional extra.
GTA 6: The Album is effectively another piece of the game’s world-building.
With artists ranging from Travis Scott and Future to Morgan Wallen and Keith Richards, Rockstar is building a soundtrack that reflects the modern, multicultural identity of its new Vice City.
The bigger picture is becoming clearer as November approaches: GTA 6 isn’t just one of the year’s biggest game launches. Rockstar is building an entire entertainment ecosystem around it, from the game and its digital and physical editions to music that can exist independently of the game.
For fans who have been waiting years for GTA 6, the countdown now has another soundtrack.
