Samsung Galaxy SmartTag3 Launched With iPhone Support and 550-Day Battery
Samsung has announced the Galaxy SmartTag3, its latest Bluetooth tracker and successor to the Galaxy SmartTag2. The new tracker gets a smaller design, longer battery life, improved tracking range and, most notably, support for both Galaxy and iOS devices.
Galaxy SmartTag3 Features
The Galaxy SmartTag3 is around 35% smaller by volume and 33% lighter than its predecessor. It retains an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance and comes in Black and White colours.
Battery life has also received a significant boost. Samsung rates the tracker for up to 550 days of regular use, while Power Saving Mode can extend this to 790 days.
The biggest change is cross-platform support. Users with Galaxy and iPhone devices can access core location and sharing features through SmartThings Find, making it easier for families using different smartphone platforms to track shared belongings.
For more precise tracking, the SmartTag3 uses Bluetooth 6.0 Channel Sounding and UWB. Compass View can provide distance and directional guidance from up to 60 metres, while UWB takes over for more accurate nearby finding on compatible Galaxy devices. Samsung’s Galaxy Find Network, with more than 900 million participating Galaxy devices, can also help locate tags outside direct Bluetooth range.
Other features include Place Notification, Location History, Movement Detection Alerts, Left Behind Alerts, NFC-based Lost Mode and SmartThings IoT controls.
Samsung Galaxy SmartTag3 Price and Availability
The Galaxy SmartTag3 is priced at $29.99 (around ₹2,875) for a single unit and $99.99 (around ₹9,585) for a four-pack. Samsung says it will roll out from November 2026, with availability varying by market.
