According to reports citing Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple could announce the new products around October 27, 2026, followed by a media showcase in Los Angeles on October 28.
The redesigned 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models are expected to feature OLED displays and touchscreen support, marking a significant change for Apple’s laptop lineup. Other rumoured additions include a Dynamic Island-style display cutout and a lighter design.
The premium models could use Apple’s M5 Pro and M5 Max processors, while a separate 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M6 chip may also arrive. These details remain unconfirmed.

OLED iPad Mini Also Expected
Apple is also expected to upgrade the iPad mini with an OLED display, potentially improving contrast, colour reproduction and viewing quality compared with an LCD panel.
Other reported changes include an A20 Pro chip, a front-facing camera repositioned for landscape video calls and a redesigned speaker system. However, Apple has not officially confirmed the specifications or availability of the next iPad mini.
M6 iMac and MacBook Pro Updates
Alongside the touchscreen models, Apple could introduce an M6-powered 14-inch MacBook Pro and an updated iMac. The desktop computer may receive new colour options, although major design changes have not been confirmed.
Apple has reportedly invited selected media members to an October 28 product experience in Los Angeles. Whether the announcement itself will take place on October 27 or October 28 remains unclear.
If these reports prove accurate, October could bring one of Apple’s most notable Mac updates in years. For now, buyers should treat the launch timeline and specifications as rumours until Apple makes an official announcement.
