Rockstar Games has released the official launch trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6), offering another glimpse into the highly anticipated open-world action game ahead of its scheduled release next month. The approximately 90-second trailer highlights the criminal underworld, vibrant locations and central characters of Vice City, while introducing new music from electronic duo Justice.
The game is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has not announced a PC release date.
GTA 6 Launch Trailer Focuses on Jason and Lucia
The new trailer centres on protagonists Jason and Lucia, whose lives become increasingly complicated after a robbery goes wrong. The pair find themselves caught in a criminal conspiracy that extends across Leonida, the fictional state inspired by Florida.
According to Rockstar’s official description, the characters must rely on each other to survive as they become entangled in events that reach far beyond their original plans.
Vice City returns as the game’s main urban setting, featuring a modern, Miami-inspired environment filled with nightlife, vehicles, crowded streets and criminal activity. The trailer provides additional glimpses of the game’s atmosphere and cinematic presentation, although it does not reveal a substantial amount of new gameplay.
Rockstar says the footage was captured entirely on a PlayStation 5, offering another demonstration of the visual experience planned for current-generation consoles.
Justice Debuts New Song for GTA 6
Music is another major part of the launch trailer. The video features “Flower in a Hurricane,” a new standalone single from French electronic duo Justice, who are also composing the game’s original score.
The track features Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. It is part of Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, the official soundtrack project associated with the game.
The soundtrack is available for pre-save on major music-streaming platforms, while physical editions, including vinyl and CD, are available for pre-order through the project’s official website.
Rockstar has indicated that more information about GTA 6’s music and the release of its complete original score will follow. Music has traditionally played an important role in the Grand Theft Auto series, with in-game radio stations helping establish the identity of its fictional cities.
GTA 6 Release Date and Platforms
GTA 6 is scheduled to arrive on November 19, 2026, for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The release follows a lengthy development and marketing period that has included multiple trailers and delays.
Rockstar previously moved the game’s release date to allow additional time for development and polishing. The company has not confirmed when the PC version will arrive, so PC players may have to wait beyond the console launch.
The latest trailer arrives just over a month before the scheduled release, increasing anticipation among fans who have waited more than a decade for the next mainline Grand Theft Auto game.
What to Expect Next
While the launch trailer offers another look at Jason, Lucia and Vice City, it leaves many gameplay details unanswered. Players are still waiting for further information about the game’s missions, open-world activities and other mechanics.
Rockstar is expected to share additional details about the game’s music and release preparations as launch day approaches. For now, the November 19 date remains the company’s announced release target.
If the schedule holds, GTA 6 will arrive on current-generation consoles next month, bringing players back to Vice City in what is expected to be one of the biggest video game releases of 2026.
